My hidden meaning

What Julia Means

You are fair, honest, and logical. You are a natural leader, and people respect you.
You never give up, and you will succeed... even if it takes you a hundred tries.
You are rational enough to see every part of a problem. You are great at giving other people advice.

You are a very lucky person. Things just always seem to go your way.
And because you're so lucky, you don't really have a lot of worries. You just hope for the best in life.
You're sometimes a little guilty of being greedy. Spread your luck around a little to people who need it.

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.
You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.
Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.
You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic "Type A" personality.

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!!!!! Oy, Oy, Oy!!!!!!

Woohoo! It's Australia Day. And now to sing the national anthem.

Australians all let us rejoice,
For we are young and free;
We've golden soil and wealth for toil,
Our home is girt by sea.
Our land abounds in Nature's gifts
Of beauty rich and rare;
In hist'ry's page, let ev'ry stage
Advance Australia fair.

In joyful strains then let us sing,
"Advance Australia Fair."

Beneath our radiant Southern Cross
We'll toil with hearts and hands;
To make this Commonwealth of ours
Renowned of all the lands;
For those who've come across the seas
We've boundless plains to share;
With courage let us all combine
To Advance Australia fair.

In joyful strains then let us sing,
"Advance Australia Fair."

With Christ our head and cornerstone,
We'll build our Nation's might.
Whose way and truth and light alone
Can guide our path aright.
Our lives, a sacrifice of love, reflect our Master's care.
With faces turned to heaven above, Advance Australia fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing, Advance Australia fair.

I just want to say that I am very proud and glad to be an Australian, and that Australia will turn back to God for guidance instead of faulty humans!

She's back!/Out for the day

Kristy is alive!!!! She's commented on my blog. I'm guessing that she's had a good time away on her honeymoon. Apparently they went to the Grampians, and spent most of their time at Hall's Gap. She hasn't posted anything on her blog, but I have high hopes for the future!

Today we were meant to be going to the pool with some homeschoolers, but we were rung up this morning and told that it was too cold and windy and we were going to Clonlea instead (a park in Gawler). All of us kids were disappointed because we barely get to go to the pool, but it was nice at Clonlea anyway, and Elyse and I talked and read our books. No, that's not being anti-social, we had already gone for a walk and talked so we were worn out. Something funny that happened today was: I wear contacts, and I quite often forget to put them in, but normally I remember before we go out anywhere. Well, today I totally forgot. At 5 o'clock this evening I was in Coles, and I thought to myself "It looks a little blurry up ahead" (I wear them for long distance), so I closed my eyelid and touched the top of it. I couldn't feel anything! I was thinking "Oh no! It didn't fall out did it??" So I closed my other eye and touched the top of that eyelid, and I couldn't feel anything there either. And suddenly I remembered that I hadn't stuck my contacts in this morning. The amount of relief I felt when I realized this cannot be described!

On another point of interest, I'm joining the music team this year!!! I'm going tomorrow night! I'm so excited! I can't wait! Please pray that God will use me this year, not only in music, but also in everything else I do!

My new phone

I got a new phone!!!!! I'm sooo happy! It's a burgundy Samsung A411. It's really nice, and it's got a colour screen (my old phone was black and white). I got Dad to take me because he knows more about phones than me, and we went to 3 Telstra shops. The first one had no Samsung A411's, the second one had them only in black, and the third one had only burgundy ones which was exactly the colour I wanted!!!! So now I'm ecstatic! Yippee!

The Wedding!

On Saturday Kristy (my sister) was married. The wedding went really well. There was a few dramas such as the order of services getting there late, but other than that it went really smoothly. I'll try to post some pictures, but first I have to figure out how to. And then I have to get them off Mike and Mel (brother and SIL). When we opened the doors to allow the bridesmaids to walk down the aisle, and when Steve (Kristy's husband), saw her he started crying. But he had this huge smile on his face, and it was sooooo sweet! The bridesmaids looked stunning, but the bride definitely outshone everyone! I'll post more about it when I figure out how to post photos, and when I get some.

Hello????

Okay, just a question. Does anyone actually read my blog? Yeah, I know that might be a bit of a rude question, but it doesn't seem as if anyone does! Sorry, this is just a bit frustrating. 'Coz there's not much point of having a blog if no one reads it! Okay, if you do read my blog could you please leave a comment? If you don't know how, I'll give you a quick lesson: First, you scroll down to the bottom of the post (that's what this is). Down the bottom it has a link that says 0 tell me what you think(or 1 tell me what you think etc.) You then click on that, and it will/should come up with a new page. In the box under LEAVE YOUR COMMENT, you write your comment (whatever it might be). Then you need to fill out the verification box. Just write the letters you see there. This is just to make sure it's not some automated computer thing leaving spam. Then, if you signed in using the surveygirl1980 user name, you can either choose to post under that and leave your name at the end of your comment, or you can select NICKNAME and put your name/nickname in that. Then, finally, you can click on PUBLISH POST or PREVIEW. (if you preview, it just gives you a look at what it looks like). Okay, now that I've done that, I would appreciate if everyone that reads this would leave a comment. You can tell me how stupid I am for writing this post, or thank me for explaining (yeah right), or just say whatever you want to, even if it's just HI! Thanks.

Christmas!!!

Sorry, I took a little break from blogging. For Christmas our family did a Kris Kringle/Secret Santa sort of thing. Basically, we all put in different amounts of money depending on how much we could pay, and then we split it up so that everybody gets $30 to spend on someone else whose name we've picked out of a hat. When we put our name in a hat, we also put down 3 things that we would like to receive as a gift. Generally, I put down 4 or 5, but it doesn't matter 'coz it's just to give an idea of what you would like. This year I got Steve (my brother-in-law to be) and he got me. I got him a Harvey Norman voucher and choc-covered shortbread. This year one of the things I asked for was an icecream maker. I didn't expect to get one because they're not cheap. BUT because I had helped Steve and Kristy out with their house, they put a bit more in and got me one!!!! I've only made one batch so far, but I'm planning on making plenty more. That was the huge highlight of my day!
